A dessert studio, not a bakery. There is no case to choose from. Since 2016, Lindsay Holdorf and her team have designed wedding, birthday and celebration cakes in San Rafael — each one drawn from the occasion it was made for.

Dessert as an intentional part of the celebration
The ideas come from you. What the day is for, who is in the room, what you want people to notice before anyone cuts it — we design from that rather than adapting something we have already made. It is why two cakes leaving the studio in the same week rarely look related.
Working this way takes longer, and it means I will sometimes say no — a flavor that fights its filling, or a design that reads well on a screen and will not hold up outdoors in July. You will hear that early, with something that does work offered in its place.

Design
Your answers become a concept — colors, decorative elements and details, refined until they fit the day rather than a house style.
Creation
Made by hand in the San Rafael studio, with close attention to structure, finish and flavor. Nothing leaves untasted.

Most orders are booked two weeks out; four to six weeks during wedding season (May–October). If your date is sooner than that, get in touch anyway — we sometimes have room.
